A Silver Carriage Clock, with original French movement.
The embossed decoration to front back top and sides depicting birds and foilage in a day & night setting.
The clock stands on 4 ornate bun feet.
London 1895.
Makers mark WC for William Comyns.
Condition: Superb condition. Inscribed with initials in shield on back, in perfect working order.

maker’s mark rubbed, probably by William Comyns, London 18leaf and ball finial, hinged cover with pierced scroll border, engraved “To Waldorf from John 19th May 1900”, scroll handle, mount embossed with putto, scrolls, flower heads and spume, pierced scroll girdle, open-work mount with similar decoration, lobed glass body with scroll and flower head decoration, height 28cm.
