marks for William Comyns and Charles & Richard Comyns, London 1914 / 1915
Comprising: kettle on stand,
coffee pot,
teapot,
the cream jug and sugar bowl by Lionel Alfred Chricton, London 1915,
of rectangular forms with incurved corners, shoulders engraved with lattice panels and rocaille-shell corners, the plain bodies with an upper band of asymmetric ‘C’ scroll cartouche and foliate garlands, below a husk festoon, sides embellished with an upper lattice band, raised on a spreading rectangular foot, kettle with swing handle, raised on a stand with four connected cabriolet legs, and spreading rectangular feet, rectangular burner, the pots with stepped rectangular finials and loop-handles, weight total 117oz
