A Tortoiseshell Inkstand with Pique Decoration

A tortoiseshell inkstand on four bracket feet of curved galleried form.
The perimiter outlined with overlaid ropework tendrils in cast silver.The whole inlaid with a Pique decoration in Gold,Silver,Mother of Pearl and abalone.
Featuring a cornucopea,the basket inlaid with gold,the flowers MoP and abalone and the foiliage and sinuos stems in silver. The square glass bottles engraved with flower and swag motifs. The hinged pique lids inlaid with MOP flowers and silver sinuous stems,with square silver holders.
