With a “Pocket Watch” push button top, decorated with a classical scene, opening to reveal a glass stopper.

A pair of silver vases.
Decorated with flowers leaves and birds.
Each vase stands on four legs leading to paw feet.
One vase is hallmarked for 1895 and one for 1892.
Each vase stands 10cm (4 ins) in height and they have a combined
weight of 167.5 grams (almost 5 ½ ounces).

A Companion Pair of Late Victorian Silver Vases
William Comyns, London, circa 1897
Each of ovoid form, with a reticulated everted rim and gadrooned body, decorated with chased and repousse attenuated blossoms and nestled birds, against a partially stippled ground, on a stepped circular foot. Height 10 1/4 inches, total approximately 30 1/2 ounces.
