oblong, the hinged cover stamped with foliage and flowers populated by birds on a textured ground, centring engraved initials, with a crimped rim, the sides engraved with foliage
12cm wide, 5oz 12dwt, 175gr
Fully marked on side and further part marked on cover. There is some wear to the marks. The bezel further engraved with retailers name. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. The wear is noticeable as a softening to the high points. There is a small repair to the back border near the hinge.

An Edwardian silver and tortoiseshell balloon Mantle Clock, hallmarked William Comyns, London 1907, the unsigned white enamel dial with blue Arabic numerals, the front with Neoclassical foliate decoration inlaid with gold and abalone shell, all raised on scrolling silver supports, 20cm high, not running, the tortoiseshell with two areas of damage, one on the front at the ‘8’ hour marker, the other on one corner at the top.
